From Darkness to Light: A Year of Healing and Surrender

I’ve been sitting with whether or not to share this. Over the past year, I’ve received gentle nudges from Spirit to speak about my own healing, not from a place of perfection, but from lived experience. This journey has been deeply personal, humbling, and transformative, and it feels important to honor it here.

I felt called to share a little about my past year of healing. After a profound life shift, my body moved into organ imbalance, showing up as physical and energetic dysfunction in my liver, pancreas, and spleen. I worked closely with trusted certified practitioners while committing to my own daily healing, following a strict "out of box" holistic protocol and powerful healing medicine support throughout the summer. Only recently have I begun to see how deeply this work has integrated. This journey gifted me deep humility and gratitude for my physical body and shaped me into a more embodied, compassionate healer for others.

My healing was not linear. During this time, I took no time away from work or school, continuing to facilitate healing online, in the mountains, and at my spa in Lethbridge. I did not speak about it publicly because this was a sacred and private process that I needed to fully embody. While I share my work openly with the world, there are parts of my life I choose to hold with reverence. There were moments I questioned whether I could move through long days of commuting and back to back clients, yet my work itself became medicine for my body.

If you are climbing through your own struggles with health, relationships, finances, or life transitions, I want you to know that you are not alone. Just as coal is placed under immense pressure before becoming a diamond, our darkest seasons often carry the seeds of our greatest transformation.

Shortly after moving through this chapter, I experienced a serious and altering situation with my eyes and vision. Through the lens of Chinese Medicine, the eyes are deeply connected to the liver, which felt like a meaningful continuation of the healing work my body had already been asking for. In that vulnerable moment, I fully surrendered to God, spending days in darkness as my eyes needed complete rest to heal. During this time, I heard a faint whisper I had been given days earlier through a friend, reminding me that we are never given more than we cannot handle or overcome. In releasing the need to control, I felt a Higher Energy guide me into light, even while I remained in the darkness of my basement.

One of my very close friends, who is also a doctor, worked closely with me during this time and performed a healing ceremony for my eyes. I also called in other healers I have been working with one on one, each supporting me in their own sacred way. Through this collective care, my vision shifted (alongside with medical intervention). I hold deep gratitude for every practitioner who walked beside me during this season and held me in mysticism, science and spirit.

I want to acknowledge my family for always supporting me. They were a huge emotional, physical, and spiritual support system while I was in and out of emergency, and I am deeply grateful for my friends who were a huge support as well, and not to forget the emergency doctor who had detected cornea damage immediately on my 2nd trip to emergency. (Which has now fully cured).

Thank you God for blessing me with clear vision. For granting me the blessings to see things for what they truly are.
